Donate to Diakonia

Diakonia is a well established charitable 501(c)(3) non-denominational organization. There are many ways you can help Diakonia through your tax-deductible contributions.

Money.  Of course we always need money. Clicking on the Donate Now Button on the right will take you to a secure web site where you can contribute by credit card to support us.  You can also mail checks to:
12747 Old Bridge Road
Ocean City, MD 21842

Please include your name and address so we can properly thank you and indicate if you would like to be on our mailing list. Include your email address if you like.

Your contributions of any amount are valuable:

  • $5 will purchase one set of bed linens.
  • $25 will pay for housing one person for one day, including meals, support and counseling
  • $50 will pay our electricity bill for a day for both buildings
  • $100 will pay for our laundry and cleaning supplies for a week

In-Kind Donations.  Diakonia accepts in-kind donations for use at our Main House and to be sold at the Used to Be Mine Thrift store. Profits from the Thrift Store go directly to our operating budget. Donations can be dropped off at 12747 Old Bridge Road in West Ocean City seven days a week. The ideal time for dropping off is 8 am to 6 pm. We accept most items including used toys, clothes, linens, household items and furniture. Additionally, we have a particular need for the following items:
